Movement Sessions
As we grow into our middle years, natural, efficient movement patterns, and moments of strength and stretch become ever-more vital to keep our bodies and minds healthy. Moving easily and with a graceful strength becomes ever more essential.
Rose & Glow Movement Method
During the R&G Experience, the twins explore their chosen practises side-by-side, offering guests a brand new and completely unique experience on the mat.
Together, they have created a new lens from which to view postures, poses, and positions, asking questions about alignment and function, and to see how movement and mindfulness affects and transforms our physical body and mind. Whether you are practised in Pilates, Yoga or another movement discipline these new, unique body conditioning sessions will surely ignite your nervous system and brain. Variety and variability in any regular exercise or movement routine is crucial to introduce new forces and angles of movement, so we become strong in every area of the body, rather than in just one way, or in one pose or in one sequence of movement.
Pilates and Yoga bring their own unique benefits to the human body and mind and at Rose & Glow we offer both disciplines to guests, expertly taught and instructed by Experience leaders, and twin sisters, Helen Macdonald-Prideaux and Lucy-Ann Prideaux.
"Our approach is to teach and guide individuals through the stages of experiencing joyful physical movement. The beginning is to observe a posture position and visually understand the mechanics of a movement. Then we can experience the essential muscular connections and truly 'perform' the exercise. We know each body and personality is unique and we feel strongly about recognising this. We are a dynamic team and we aim to provide you with knowledge, experience, passion for our unique disciplines and an abundance of enthusiasm. We would like to get to know you as an individual, understand your goals, your strengths and the challenges you may face. We will provide you with a personal 'story' of your Rose&Glow experience to give you the encouragement and confidence to continue with progressions and new skills when you leave us. We hope to inspire you to return on another R&G experience to continue your story with us"
You will experience a variety of unique body movement sessions. Helen and Lucy-Ann are so excited to guide you through inventive flow sequences to challenge, calm, invigorate and re-balance both your mind and body. We promise to leave you feeling vitalised, with that 'buzz' of energy yet with a calm, re-focussed sense of wellbeing.
Let the Spine Flow
A healthy moveable spine is at the centre of all our human movement. This session will focus on creating an appreciation of the whole length of the spine, the wonders of finding flexible, fluid movement.
At the Core
We all know the importance of a strong 'core' but this session will look at not just deepening our use of the abdominals but linking that to supporting the trunk, pelvis and limbs in any movement or exercise we do.
On the Periphery
So here we look how our strong 'centre' can radiate outwards to the limbs and extremities to be able to go that little bit further in ranges of stretch and reach.
Twists and Turns, Under and Over
Some of the most enjoyable ways to move involve rotation and twist. We will attempt to give you more appreciation in your body's ability to gain more range of turn and twist with an understanding of supporting this and staying safe.
Ripple, Roll and Re-balance
Pilates and Yoga demand a unique style and presentation when performing sequences and moves. When we discover those moments of feeling graceful in a 'ripple' or 'roll' we can seamlessly link one exercise to another. It is incredibly satisfying when you find these moments of true balance and poise.
Restore and Renew
Gentle movement sessions are always necessary, and always welcomed. We need to spend time, breathing, and holding positions where we can let go of "effort" and allow the body to release, restore and renew. We call this "Flow Motion", as we allow the body to move slowly and intuitively, releasing as we go.
Face Yoga
Lucy-Ann is one of only a few qualified Face Yoga Method TM teachers in the UK having completed the most comprehensive Face Yoga Training currently available in the world. She is thrilled to be bringing this unique experience to you at Rose and Glow and will teach you effective face exercise routines that you'll be able to continue practising after your experience with us. You will also learn valuable natural skincare tips, and how to nourish the skin both topically, and of course via the foods you eat.

It undoubtedly gives me so much more confidence in the way I look and feel. It's a daily workout for my face which I have come to realise is just as important as my mind and body!"
Hiking & the Outdoors
The Rose & Glow setting is perfect to experience and explore the spectacular North Cornwall coastline and as both twins have a love of hiking and the outdoors, they have personally chosen the best locations, and designed the best hiking routes for you. Lucy-Ann also runs a local Cornwall hiking group, so is experienced in leading group hikes, of all abilities.

Food & Nutrition
Food and nutrition are the foundation of a healthy body and mind. Delicious, nutrient-rich, fresh, locally sourced seasonal food is a top priority on your Rose & Glow Experience. As a professional MSc qualified Nutritionist, Lucy-Ann works closely with the chef to ensure you eat wonderful wholesome food and feel energised to get the most out of your R & G wellness experience.
"We both enjoy working closely with Craig, our private chef to create nourishing and delicious food with a focus on plant-based meals, an array of fresh fruits and vegetables and other whole foods. We do not subscribe to or prescribe any one diet here at Rose & Glow. Our philosophy about food is simple. Fresh, healthy, local ingredients prepared and served in imaginative and delicious ways. That's it"!
Our chef, Craig Barrett (www.duchychef.com) will be with us throughout the Experience to cater to specific tastes and requirements. He has a formidable talent and an all-encompassing passion for all things food and a love for seasonal, local produce. Craig is classically trained and has a background in working for some of London's finest establishments. In 2019, Craig competed in Masterchef The Professionals, and we are very proud to welcome Craig to the Rose and Glow Experiences team.
